Mahabir Pun was born in the village of Nangi in Magadi district with the goal of spreading information through rural areas of the country through wireless technology. Pun’s father is a retired British Gurkha Army.
After completing his high school education, Pun worked for six years in two schools. In 1979, Pun received a Master’s Degree in Science faculty from the University of Nebraska. After completing his post-graduation after 5 years he returned to his village, he felt the need for sustainable education.
The golden year of Mahabir Pun’s life of the year came to an end when the BBC (British Broadcast Corporation) introduced the plan to the village community in the village on the importance of access to the Internet. With the support of the BBC, various donors from Europe and the US provided financial support to Pun.
